A five-month-old baby was taken to hospital on suspicion of assault. The child's parents were detained, both of them were drunk. They are in custody. The case is being handled by the prosecutor's office.
The incident took place on Friday, November 1. “The neighbors anonymously reported that in one of the apartments they could hear screams, a baby crying and insults. Two policewomen went to the spot. They found the father and mother of a five-month-old boy in the apartment,” the superintendent said. Monika Kosiec from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Koszalin.
“They noticed that the child was behaving very suspiciously, crying loudly and having bruises around the head, so they called an ambulance,” she added.
The boy was taken to hospital and his parents were arrested
The emergency doctor decided to transport the boy to the hospital, where he is currently hospitalized. The parents were drunk at the time of arrest.
“The child's mother had less than half a permille, the father almost a permille. They are both in police custody. We are waiting for an expert's opinion on the boy's injuries. The District Prosecutor's Office in Koszalin has been notified, the prosecutor will decide what to do next,” she added.
The child's father is 33 years old, the mother is 31 years old.
