An earthquake hit Greece on Sunday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported. It had a magnitude of 5.5.
The earth shook on Sunday around 7 p.m. local time off the coast of Halkidiki. According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the epicenter was eight kilometers southwest of the Greek district of Nea Poteidaia. The hypocenter was located at a depth of 11 kilometers.
According to the American geological agency USGS, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.3.
