Visibility below 200 meters in places. There are warnings from IMWM

People traveling on the roads should exercise particular caution in the coming hours. Dense fog remains in many areas. In places visibility drops below 200 meters. IMWM issued first degree warnings.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued warnings about dense fog.

First degree IMWM warnings – dense fog

The lowest level alerts apply in the following voivodeships:

  • Warmian-Masurian Voivodeshipin Elbląg County;
  • Lubuskieoutside the extreme northern counties;
  • Lower Silesiain the following counties: Zgorzelec, Lubań, Lwówek, Karkonosze, Jelenia GóraKamienna Góra, Wałbrzych, WałbrzychKłodzko, Ząbkowice;
  • Opole Province;
  • Greater Polandoutside northern counties;
  • Silesianoutside central counties;
  • Lesser Polandin the following counties: Nowy Targ and Sucha;
  • Łódź;
  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeshipin the following poviats: Włocławek, Włocławek;
  • Masovian Voivodeship; outside the extreme north-western counties;
  • Lublin Provincein the following counties: Biała Podlaska, Biała PodlaskaParczew, Radzyński, Łuków, Rycki;
  • Podlasieexcept for the extreme northern counties.

Warnings will be in force until 11 a.m. Dense fog is forecast, with visibility sometimes below 200 m.

What are IMWM first degree warnings?

Conditions are expected to favor the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.
