Marshal of the Sejm, Poland 2050 leader Szymon Hołownia announced on Wednesday that he will run in the presidential elections in 2025. He announced the decision at a meeting with residents in Jędrzejów in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
– In January next year, I will be a candidate for the President of the Republic of Poland. I decided to run and I decided to tell you about it here – in Jędrzejów – said Hołownia.
Trzaskowski, who, together with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, is running in the primaries in the Civic Coalitionwhich are to select the KO candidate for president, Polsat News commented on Hołownia's decision.

– For me, the most important thing is that we do not attack each other in the first round of elections. However, in the second round, there should be support for this candidate from the democratic side – emphasized the mayor of Warsaw.
He added that he was waiting for Hołownia to run because – as he noted – he had been expressing his desire to run for several months.
