The results of the last round of research to help select the PiS candidate for president will be delivered to the headquarters of the Law and Justice party in the middle of next week, the Polish Press Agency reported, citing party interlocutors. The candidate's presentation may take place around November 23.
The original plan assumed that the results of the latest research on potential PiS presidential candidates would reach the party headquarters on November 15, but later the date was postponed by a few days. – They are supposed to arrive after the weekend, probably around mid-week – said one of the most important politicians of this group. He added that the results would later be analyzed by the party's top leadership.
On Friday afternoon, the group's leadership met in a small group at the PiS headquarters. According to media information, talks included, among others: on the issue of elections, but no arrangements were made. – We are still waiting for the test results – the interlocutor said.
Another PiS politician said that the base scenario is to present a candidate this month. It is possible that this will happen around November 23. Some interlocutors point out that it may also be at the beginning of December if there is still a “tie” between the candidates for the PiS candidate.
Kaczyński: please don't rush us so much
President of PiS Jarosław Kaczyński asked on Thursday at a press conference, when PiS will present its presidential candidateasked for patience. – Civic Platform he talks about December 7, we want to be there earlier. Well, please don't rush us so much, said Kaczyński, adding that research is still being carried out. – At this point, I can say this: 10 years ago there was a moment of illumination, and now there are research – he added, referring to the announcement of the candidacy Andrzej Duda in 2014.
On Friday, Kaczyński admitted on wPolsce24 television that three candidates are currently being examined very carefully and that they are “basically at a tie level.” When asked what PiS would do if the results of these three candidates were similar, he joked: “We'll roll the dice.”

Difficulty of choice
– Additional research is underway, in fact it is an in-depth continuation of the previous ones. We'll see. Each of these men has the features that were described in these initial studies as those that determine the possibility of success, and each of them, also when it comes to other personality elements, various types of skills or understanding of reality, looks very good, hence the difficulty of choosing. This is the problem of excess, but unfortunately we cannot elect a three-headed president – said the PiS leader.
– These are people who are either definitely young, especially when it comes to politics, or at least young, they also have a lot ahead of them and theoretically speaking, each of them can become president, just at different times, but today we have to choose one – added the president of Law. and Justice, emphasizing that none of the candidates under consideration is a member of the highest party authorities.

In the nomination game
The following candidates are in the running for nomination as the PiS candidate: president Institute of National Remembrance Karol Nawrockiformer Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnekas well as MEP and former candidate for president of the capital Tobiasz Bocheński.
Czarnek recently went on a tour of the country to – as he said – mobilize right-wing voters to vote for the PiS candidate, regardless of who it is. In recent weeks, another of PiS's possible presidential candidates has also been active in the field – the head of the Institute of National Remembrance, Karol Nawrocki.

Your candidacy in the presidential elections has already been announced by the Speaker of the Sejm, the head of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia. In turn, in the Civic Coalition on November 22 primaries will be held in which activists will choose between the mayor of Warsaw, the deputy head of PO Rafał Trzaskowski and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski. The results will be announced the next day. The KO candidate for president selected in the vote is to present his program on December 7 in Silesia.
At the beginning of October, the Left announced that the National Council of the New Left had unanimously decided to field its own candidate in next year's presidential elections. It has not been decided yet who will be selected.
Sławomir Mentzen from Konfederacja and Marek Jakubiak from Wolni had already announced their start. Republicans.
The presidential elections will be held in spring next year. Andrzej Duda ends his second and last term in August 2025. For several months, a team has been operating in PiS – headed by Kaczyński – to select the party's candidate.
