On Saturday, a passenger car and a truck collided on the A2 highway near Warsaw. The driver of the first one was freed by firefighters.
“A quiet Saturday afternoon was interrupted by a call to an accident between a passenger car and a truck that took place on the A2 highway near Królewiec (road towards Warsaw). We went to the incident in a six-person Mercedes Atego GBA-Rt” – firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Department reported on social media Jakubów.
Driver stuck
After reaching the scene, it turned out that the driver of the passenger car was stuck. Firefighters started cutting out elements obstructing access to the injured person.
“In the meantime, an LPR helicopter was dispatched to the accident. Some of our team helped to extract the driver trapped in the vehicle, and the rest secured the site and neutralized the petroleum substance lying on the road,” they further reported.
Firefighters from Mińsk Mazowiecki, volunteers from Jakubów and Brzóze, a medical rescue team, an LPR helicopter and the police worked on site. The action lasted for two and a half hours.
