His company serves about a dozen beekeepers in a burned area in the Somis and Camarillo communities. The man showed one of the places where he had several hives set up for his bees to pollinate the orchards.
In total, he lost 150 bee colonies. Each of them contains 40-80 thousand insects, which means the loss of millions of bees.

-The place was buzzing. Sometimes you couldn't hear yourself think, especially in the warmer parts of the day – the bees were everywhere. And they were busy working in the orchards around. We have native trees, pepper trees, eucalyptus trees, there's a creek down there, so it's a great place to winter, Flores said.
A man needs to replenish the resources he has lost. According to the Ventura County Department of Agriculture, the county's agricultural industry is valued at approximately $2 billion.
