Germany is to deliver four thousand combat drones to Ukraine. The machines called mini-Tauruses are controlled by artificial intelligence.
Germany will start sending on Ukraine four thousand combat drones controlled by artificial intelligence. German Minister of National Defense Boris Pistorius made this promise in June, and now deliveries are entering the implementation phase.
Drones that can fly 30-40 kilometers deep into the territory will be “an important asset for the Ukrainian armed forces”, especially in attacking logistic chains and command posts, added Pistorius, quoted by the Tagesschau website.
Drones controlled by artificial intelligence
As the Bild daily portal wrote on Monday, the German company Helsing signed a contract with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in September to deliver the so-called attack drones, also called mini-Tauruses.
AI-controlled drones have advanced software that makes them resistant to interference.
The name mini-Taurus refers to the Taurus cruise missile with a range of over 500 km, the delivery of which Ukraine has repeatedly demanded. However, the German government rejects the possibility of transferring these missiles to Kiev.
