– I am glad that in PiS we have a democratic candidate selection process. It means that Jarosław Kaczyński will simply make such a decision – said Ryszard Petru in “Fakty po Faktach”. He expressed hope that Przemysław Czarnek would become the PiS candidate for president. – An excellent candidate – said his party colleague Zbigniew Bogucki about the former Minister of Education.
The management meeting began on Wednesday afternoon at the headquarters of Law and Justice at Nowogrodzka Street PIS. According to media reports, the final decision on the party's candidate in the presidential elections was to be made there. However, as TVN24 reporter Michał Gołębiowski reported on site, the final decision may not be made until Thursday.
“Decision of the leadership of Law and Justice”
– We all need to be patient for a moment – said Zbigniew Bogucki from PiS, who came to the TVN24 studio straight from Nowogrodzka, in “Fakty po Faktach”.
He expressed his belief that selecting the PiS candidate “is a matter of the next few days.” He stressed that “this will be a decision of the leadership of the Law and Justice political community.” – I am in favor of the candidate we will nominate because unity is needed – said the MP.
According to him, the primaries in the Civic Platform are not “a time of declarations”, but “a time of fight, sometimes very brutal.” – We are dealing with such controlled primaries, because after all Donald Tusk he said: Sikorski, Trzaskowski, you can choose one of these two, and I am not responsible for it – said Bogucki.
– We don't do that, we don't create such a smokescreen, a facade. The names are widely known, they have been mentioned all the time for several weeks, he said.
When asked about Przemysław Czarnek's potential candidacy, he replied: “an excellent candidate.” – I won't tell you what the political cuisine is like. It's coming soon – he added.
