It has already turned white in many regions of Poland, and more snowfall is coming. On the night from Thursday to Friday, it will rain heavily in the south, southeast of the country and the east of the country. In some places, more than 10 centimeters of snow may be added.
– Poland will be affected by the very humid Renate low-pressure vortex. During the night, there will be heavy cloudiness and snowfall from the southwest into the country, says tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek.
The heaviest rainfall will occur after midnight in the zone from Silesia, through Małopolska, to Podkarpacie and the Lublin region. In some places it will drop there to 10 centimeters of snow, and locally possibly more. About 20 cm of snow will accumulate in the Carpathians next night and Friday.
In Mazovia and Podlasie, the total snowfall will amount to a maximum of 5 cm. – This is enough to cause disruptions on the roads – says the forecaster.
Snow will also fall briefly at night in the western and northern regions, but rainfall will be light there. They will fall no more than 2 centimeters.
There will be major disruptions on the roads
As the weather forecaster points out, “the ground is not yet cooled down enough, so it will not support long-term snow cover.” – However, in the morning and tomorrow until noon in some places Major disruptions are possible on the roads of southern, south-eastern and eastern Poland – he adds.
The previous night and on Thursday, snow fell most intensively in northern Poland. In Koszalin there were 11 centimeters in the morning, which is as much as on Kasprowy Wierch.
