Iga Świątek has had another decent season. She won as many as five tournaments, including one Grand Slam. We're talking about Roland Garros. However, she won all the titles in the first part of the season. Since July, its form has been slightly destabilized. Only the third round of Wimbledon and the quarterfinals of the US Open were results below expectations. Additionally, the Pole took a two-month break from the game, as a result of which she lost her lead in the WTA ranking. Now it is headed by Aryna Sabalenka. It turns out that our compatriot was dethroned not only in this classification.
Iga Świątek in the TOP 3 of the UTR ranking. The Polish conqueror is the leader at the Olympic Games
Świątek also had to acknowledge the superiority of her rivals in the Universal Tennis Rating, which presents the players' form in more detail. The purpose of this ranking is to create a single and accurate indicator of the skills of tennis players without division into age, gender, nationality, etc. on a scale from 1 to 16.50. This ranking does not take into account points for subsequent stages of tournaments, but looks at the tennis player's form and the caliber of players with whom she wins matches.
And in this ranking, the Pole takes third place – 12.93. Coco Gauff ranks higher than her (12.95). The leader is Qinwen Zheng (the same result as the American, i.e. 12.95, but she has recorded a smaller decline in the last three months).
The Chinese woman performed brilliantly last season. The final of the Australian Open, the WTA Finals or victory in the Olympic Games after triumphing over strong rivals – these are just some of her achievements. Only in fourth place was… Aryna Sabalenka, the leader of the WTA ranking.
Current UTR ranking (TOP10):

Świątek has a great chance
Now it's time for the tennis players to rest. The season will start in January. And from the very beginning, the Belarusian will have many points to defend, and Świątek will have a chance to regain the lead in the WTA ranking. Sabalenka is the winner of the previous edition of the Australian Open. If she fails to repeat the feat this season and the Pole is successful in Australia, she will return to the front of the pack. She stayed there on and off for 125 weeks.
