IMWM warns: Forecasters warn against freezing rain and strong wind in the mountains. A warning has been issued for as many as eight voivodeships. Freezing rain forms black ice on the ground.
Slippery in 8 voivodeships: Freezing precipitation is forecast along the north border Poland, on the Vistula Lagoon, in Warmia and eastern Masuria, in the south of Lower Silesia along the border with the Czech Republic, in the south of Masovia and the Lublin region and in entire voivodeships Silesia, Lesser Poland, Podkarpackie and Świętokrzyskie.
Weather forecast: Maximum temperature from 2 degrees Celsius in the east, about 5 degrees C in the center, to 12 degrees C in the southwest. On the night from Sunday to Mondaythere will be heavy cloud cover with greater brightening and clearing gradually from the west. In places, especially in the north-east and the eastern edges, weak rainfallinitially also rain with snow.
Strong wind in the mountains: IMWM also warns against strong wind in the mountains. In the foothill areas of the Sudetes and Beskids, wind gusts initially up to approximately 80 km/h, gradually weakening from the west in the second half. Wind gusts up to 90 km/h high in the Carpathians, initially up to 130 km/h on the peaks of the Sudetes. High in the mountains, the wind can cause it blizzards and snowstorms.
