New High Speed Rail station: It will be located in Brzeziny – “a district town that has so far been deprived of any access to rail transport” – says CPK.
Construction of CPK and railway: Railway line No. 85 on the Warsaw – Łódź section is one of the investment priorities – emphasizes CPK. It will allow you to cover this route with the fastest high speed train in about 40 minutes, which is almost twice as fast as currently. According to plans, it is to be put into operation in 2032 together with the planned one opening Central Communication Port in Baranów.
CPK showed visualizations: Design documentation for the railway station in Brzeziny is currently being prepared. It was assumed that at this station, 20 km away from Łódź trains will stop AeroExpress category on the Warsaw – Łódź route and RegioExpress trains on the Skierniewice – Łódź and Łowicz – Łódź routes. The new station will have two single-edge platforms, 400 meters long. The CPK company showed visualizations of the station and railway station in Brzeziny.
HSR station in Brzeziny: In the main hall for travelers there will be ticket officessecurity offices or a hygiene and sanitary facility. A service premises have been designed in the immediate vicinity of the passenger hall. “An additional advantage of the facility is making the station roof available for travelers. The level of the green roof was made at the level of the platform platform, which will facilitate movement between the communication and recreation areas,” says CPK.
Construction of HSR: Applications for a decision on environmental conditions for the Warsaw and Łódź sections of line No. 85 were submitted in September 2022. The decisions were issued in December 2023 and January 2024. Construction of a long-distance tunnel in Łódź is also underway. Section Warsaw – Łódź will constitute the core of “Y”, i.e. the route leading from the Polish capital through Łódź to Wrocław and Poznań. The entire 480-kilometer project is scheduled to be completed in 2035.
