The man ignored the negotiators and, according to preliminary findings, committed suicide. There is no threat to the lives of the imprisoned people.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon. – Preliminary findings show that a 32-year-old resident of Namysłów fatally shot three people and imprisoned another three, including children. Units of the Independent Police Prevention Unit in Opole and Wrocław and the Central Counter-Terrorist Unit of the Police “BOA” appeared on site. Despite the actions taken by the negotiators, the man ignored them. Forced entry was ordered. Initial findings indicate that the man committed suicide. The people imprisoned by the man were released by the police, their life and health are not in danger, said the press officer of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Opole, comm. Agnieszka Żyłka.
The Opole police are conducting operations at the scene.
