– If we want to stop the hot phase of the war, we must bring the territory of Ukraine under our control under NATO's umbrella – said President Zelensky in an interview for Sky News television.
– We have to do this quickly. And then the occupied territories of Ukraine can be regained through diplomacy, he said.
According to Zelensky, a ceasefire is needed to ensure that “Putin will not return to occupy more parts of Ukraine.” He emphasized that NATO should immediately “take care” of the part of Ukraine that remains under Kiev's control.
