This is not the first time Israel has been accused of crimes against humanity. On this very charge, in November the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant.

Ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas are underway in Cairo. Leaks show that American, Egyptian and Qatari mediators managed to make significant progress on most of the sticking points, including the exchange of hostages held by Hamas.
US diplomats even say that an agreement may be announced “in the coming days.”
