On Tuesday, there were tragic consequences of carbon monoxide poisoning. Two boys died of carbon monoxide poisoning in a single-family house in Kutno. In Koszalin, a woman was poisoned by carbon monoxide in her apartment. Despite resuscitation, she could not be saved. The spokesman for the Chief Commander of the State Fire Service spoke on TVN24 about the importance of installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. – This is a small investment in big security – said Karol Kieszkowski.

As the spokesman emphasized, the sensors “supplement our home security.” – We should perform mandatory inspections of technical installations, such as ventilation, chimney flues, gas and electrical installations – said Karol Kieszkowski.
He noted that “this is the absolute minimum” which, combined with the installation of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in buildings with heating installations, make “homes simply safe.” – A smoke detector or a carbon monoxide detector – really little money – can save our lives and, above all, guarantee that they will warn us in time – reminded the spokesman.
Obligation to install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in homes
From December 23 this year There is a regulation of the Minister of Interior and Administration which obliges the installation of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in each newly completed building. In turn, from 2030, every building will have to meet this obligation.
