In the northern areas of the left-bank part of Szczecin, including Śródmieście, disruptions in the supply of heat and hot water may occur. This is related to the failure of the Szczecin Heat and Power Plant. PGE, which owns the Szczecin heat and power plant, is trying to diagnose the problem.
“Due to the failure of the Szczecin Heat and Power Plant, there may be disruptions in the supply of heat and hot water in the northern areas of the left bank of the city,” Szczecińska Energetyka Cieplna reported.
To minimize heat shortages resulting from the failure, the heat and power plant activated all its own heat sources in emergency mode. It also maximized heat supplies from other available external sources.
PGE, which owns the Szczecin Heat and Power Plant, is taking steps to diagnose the causes of the failure.
Szczecińska Energetyka Cieplna appeals to city residents to limit the number of calls to the emergency number 993. Current information will be published on the SEC website.
