Julia Szeremeta became wildly popular after winning the silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the 57 kg boxing category. – As a girl from a poor family, she achieved great sports success thanks to hard work. She captivated fans with her character and ambition. During the games, she openly said that she was only interested in the gold medal. After losing the final, she did not look for excuses for having to fight a controversial opponent – said Adam Pawlukiewicz from the research company Pentagon Research in an interview with Dominik Senkowski from Sport.pl.
The boxer's popularity quickly turned into more media interviews, visits to TV studios, and not only there. September 9 was particularly intense for the boxer – on that day, Szeremeta was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta by President Andrzej Duda. After the ceremony, she went to a restaurant to meet the legend of Polish boxing, Andrzej Gołota.

The idea for the meeting was Gołota, who invited the 21-year-old for coffee through one of the journalists. – President Grzegorz Nowaczek was with us at the mayor's and he said that Mr. Andrzej was there and that we should meet for food and coffee. Quick action and we arranged an appointment – said Szeremeta in an interview for Radio Lublin.
Tomasz Dylak, Szeremeta's coach, in an interview with Interia Sport revealed that the Polish boxer was a bit late for the meeting. What was the reason for her unpunctuality? – We had the decoration with the president, from there I went straight to the interview and meeting with Mr. Andrzej Gołota. I was a moment late, but he forgave me – said the silver medalist from Paris.

In the same conversation, Szeremeta admitted that she had very fond memories of the time spent with Gołota – We talked, drank coffee – she said. Then the host of the interview on Radio Lublin asked her directly: “Were there any advice?” – A secret – replied Szeremeta, for whom Gołota was an authority.
