A short ride and a collision. Cause? Alcohol again

A drunk driver got behind the wheel. – The ride did not last long. The 48 -year -old with impetus hit his car at a Peugeot, whose driver stopped in a red light – describes the police.

The incident occurred on March 23, 2025 at the “Old Seven”. – The 48 -year -old Opel, driving the Krakow Avenue towards Radom, hit the back of Peugeot with impetus, whose head stopped at a red light – says Magdalena Gąsowska, spokeswoman for the Piaseczno police. – The force of the impact was so great that the road infrastructure was damaged, but fortunately, this time no one was injured, but as we know – it could end tragically – adds a policewoman.

Alcohol, no permissions

Policemen who arrived at the place determined the cause of the incident. – Unfortunately, it was alcohol once again. A breathalyzer test showed that the 48-year-old had over 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his breath. As if that was not enough, the man does not have the right to drive vehicles. He did not travel alone either. There were two other people with him – also intoxicated.

The 48-year-old has already heard penalty allegations. He will be responsible for driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication, causing a road collision and driving despite the lack of permissions. The prosecutor applied a libertarian preventive measure in the form of police supervision.

– We remind you that drunk drivers are a deadly threat on the road. This time no one has suffered, but how many more events are needed for some to understand how much harm they can do to themselves and others? We appeal to all road users: do not be indifferent. If you see that someone wants to lead after alcohol, react. All you need is one phone call 112 to prevent the tragedy – sums up the press officer.
