A white rainbow appeared in Kashubia on Wednesday morning. We received a photo of a phenomenon that, with a bit of luck, can be observed on an autumn or spring day from Mrs. Estera.
Mrs. Estera captured an unusual phenomenon in the photo. On Wednesday morning, a white, foggy arc appeared above the ground in Kashubia. It is a white rainbow, known in English as fog bow.
White rainbow – how does this phenomenon occur?
A white rainbow is similar to a classic, colorful rainbow, but it appears not during rain, but during fog, so this phenomenon is typical of autumn or spring. Spotting a white rainbow is more difficult than a regular rainbow. This is due to the fact that the white rainbow is much wider than the classic one, and the colors of the arcs forming it are faded.
The white rainbow can be seen in Mrs. Estera's photos:
