The report on the audit of proceedings during the period of the United Right government is intended to enable the public to learn what happened in 200 cases in which there are suspicions of political influence – said the Minister of Justice and Attorney General Adam Bodnar in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego”. He said the report confirms that there was a protective umbrella over the investigations at that time.
National Prosecutor's Office published on Tuesday a partial report on the audit of proceedings during the period of the United Right government in 2016-2023. The report covers 200 out of 600 cases investigated by a team of prosecutors in the National Prosecutor's Office.
On Wednesday, the Minister of Justice and the Prosecutor General were asked about this in “Piasecki's Rozmowa”. Adam Bodnar.
The prepared report – as Bodnar noted – “is primarily intended to result in the public finding out what happened in 200 cases regarding which there are various suspicions of political influence.”
Bodnar said that the report would result in “another 30 notifications regarding criminal or disciplinary acts.” As he said, the report also confirmed that “in the years 2016-2023, there was a protective umbrella from the prosecutor's office over various investigations.”
