– These nine or eight and a half years, maybe I say it a bit extremely, but they ruined my life – said Adam Z. just after the PoznaĆ District Court acquitted him from the allegation of murder with the intention of an possible Ewa Tylman. The TVN24 journalist asked Adam Z. what happened that evening when he saw Ewa for the last time.
From a mysterious death Ewa Tylman Nine years have passed. Today, the PoznaĆ District Court acquitted from the allegation of murder with the intention of an possible Adam Z. – a friend Ewa and the last person who saw her alive. During the trial, the accused only answered his defender's questions. Today, after the acquitting sentence, he agreed to talk to journalists.
– These nine or eight and a half years, maybe I say it a bit extremely, but they ruined my life, so I don't even know what to say – said Adam Z.
Reporter Ćukasz WĂłjcik asked the acquitted man about what happened specifically that night, when he saw Ewa for the last time. – Unfortunately, I don't know. I was in this condition. Anyone who was in the same state, like me then can understand me – he replied.
He, in turn, about prosecutor's activities, during which he admitted in 2015 that he saw Ewa Tylman in the water and that he was afraid to help her, he said briefly: It was a lie, I was forced to do so by policemen. He did not want to come back today to what this forced to force this. He admitted that he was aware that this may not be the end of this court battle. “It may take a year or two,” he added.
The court acquitted Adam Z. on the death of Ewa Tylman
Today, the court acquitted Adam Z. from the allegation of murder with a possible intention of Ewa Tylman. He also found no grounds for convicting Z. for not helping. We would like to remind you that the prosecutor's office itself applied for such a request to change qualifications in November last year.
In the oral justification, the court admitted that the prosecutor's office actually requested a change in qualifications, but the indictment was not withdrawn, so the court was constantly examining this case in terms of murder with a possible intention. As reported by TVN24 reporter, the court checked if it is possible to convince Adam Z. for not helping Ewa Tylman. Why did the court not decide to change the qualifications?
– The court indicated that at the time when Adam Z., at the stage of prosecutor's activities (2015- editor's note), said that he saw Ewa Tylman falling into the water and that he was afraid to help her, because he could not swim, he did not have his defender next to him. And the law allows the defender to participate in such activities. Adam Z. was supposed to apply for a defender earlier. He also had a power of attorney for patron Adamczak, but for some reason the patron was not informed about these activities. And this means that these activities cannot be treated as a testimony that the court could treat as evidence in the case and therefore the court did not decide to change the qualification of the act – reports Ćukasz WĂłjcik, TVN24 reporter.
