– Due to the dramatic situation in the region, the flood wave passing from Stronie Śląskie, through Lądek-Zdrój, to Kłodzko, only on September 15 and 16, the Srebrna Góra Fortress was closed to visitors. From Monday, September 16, cancellations of previous group reservations made by private individuals, companies and school trips started rapidly – Emilia Pawnuk, President of the Management Board of the Srebrna Góra Fortress, informed Gazeta.pl. According to preliminary estimates, the resulting financial losses will amount to approximately PLN 250,000. zlotys.

– From the beginning of the year to August 2024, we were visited by 13,000 people. more people compared to the same period in 2023 (it was almost 135 thousand tourists). Everything pointed to a record number of visitors in the history of the Srebrna Góra Fortress, said Emilia Pawnuk.
– We are now summarizing the losses in the tourist register compared to last year, when in September 2023 we were visited by 12,400 people and several school tour buses arrived daily. We will carefully calculate it together with our accounting and I anxiously expect a drastic decline – the president of the management board informed us.

– The Srebrna Góra Fortress has not suffered any losses in infrastructure, we have utilities, electricity, water, access is not difficult. Our routes, new parts and service are waiting for the arrival of guests, which I heartily encourage – emphasized the president, informing us that from October 5 to 6, the “Legend Fortress” will be held in the mountain fortification, i.e. “a festival for everyone who wants to get to know Lower Silesia from its fairy-tale, “mysterious side”.
– Famous writers, treasure hunters, mad scientists and, most importantly, representatives and animators from Lower Silesian museums, underground tourist routes and many other attractions will appear in the fortress. We want to show unity after the flood and that Lower Silesia is safe, and tourist routes and hotels they are waiting for tourists – summed up Emilia Pawnuk.
