According to Reuters Foxconn, the main supplier of Apple in India exported smartphones in March for $ 1.31 billion – this is a monthly record, equal to total exports from January and February. This year, the company sent to USA Devices worth $ 5.3 billion.
“Dad Electronics, another Apple supplier, exported the iPhones in March for $ 612 million, 63 % more than in February, including iPhone 15 and 16” models – the agency added. Apple, Foxconn and Dad did not comment on the matter.

Record shipping
Customs shows that all FoxConn March shipments to the USA took place by air from the Cargo terminal in Chennai, India. Planes landed in various cities, including in Los Angeles and New York, but most went to Chicago.
To accelerate transport, Apple pressed the Indian airport authorities in Chennai to shorten the customs clearance time from 30 to 6 hours. At least six Cargo aircraft were used in the operation. One of the informants described this as a way to “bypass customs”.
Later, Trump released smartphones and some other electronic devices, imported mainly from China, but suggested that these exemptions may be temporary.
