Two small planes collided in mid-air and crashed into a forested area southwest of Sydney, Australia. Three people died.
The accident occurred on Saturday. The fatalities included two passengers of the Cessna 182 and one person who was flying another light plane.
Acting Chief of Police in NSW Wales Timothy Calman reported that one of the machines burst into flames after hitting the ground.
Eyewitnesses spoke of “shards falling from the sky.” As they emphasized, they tried to help, but “there was probably not much that could be done.”
