BBN head Dariusz Łukowski: Soldiers from the USA will continue their tasks, among others in Żagań and Powidz

These are typical tactical movements at the military level made in our country – the head of the National Security Bureau General Dariusz Łukowski said about the relocation of the US troops from Jasionka. – American troops relocate some of their strength to bases, among others in Żagań, in Powidz and will continue the same tasks they performed in Jasionka – he added.

On Monday, the American command announced relocation of American staff and military equipment from Jasionka to other places in Poland. As we read in a communication, the transfer is “part of a wider strategy for optimizing American military operations, improving the support of allies and partners while increasing performance.”

The head of the National Security Bureau, General Dariusz Łukowski, said that “the movements that are made around Jasionka are natural displacements of troops, not just American.” – What is happening there is related to the decision taken at the summit in Washington in 2024 by the decision to take over responsibility for the logistics hub. (…) It was established that this would be dealt with by a special allied mission of the NSATA (NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine – ed.) Under the allied command and this also caused a change in the configuration of all this operation – said the general.

– These movements take place permanently. We do not inform about it, because these are typical tactical movements at the military level made in our country. American units and other individuals move constantly, performing their tasks, changing the model of their tasks – explained General Łukowski.

As the head of the BBN added, the American army “will move to its locations in Poland, which were previously occupied”. – From these locations (American soldiers – ed.) They will continue these tasks because they stated that it is more effective and less cost -consuming from their point of view – he added.

– American troops relocate some of their strength to bases, among others in Żagań, in Powidz and will continue the same tasks they performed in Jasionka – he said.
