BBN head Dariusz Łukowski: The US decision does not cover all aspects of support for Ukraine

The head of the National Security Bureau, General Dariusz Łukowski, commented on this situation in “Facts after Facts” on TVN24 on Wednesday. He stated that his information shows that excluded intelligence information “does not cover all aspects of support implemented for Ukraine.”

– Remember that for support, elements of typical military diagnosis are also used, which is in a sense separated from typical intelligence. It takes place at a tactical level and can be implemented by military abilities. And from what we have information, it happens at this level – he said.

He explained that it is difficult for him to define the depth of the data that is transmitted, but “information in the environment of contact line is transmitted.” – So it should be presumed that this is information that eliminates the potential element of surprise from the Russian side towards Ukrainian forces. And at this level this selection of information occurs. And this data is provided – he added.

The head of the BBN was asked if Poland was taking action to convince Americans to resume cooperation with Ukraine. – In fact, this is an essential element of cooperation from the American side. Our role is convincing the American side to who is the victim, who is the aggressor in this conflict – he replied.

He added that actions were taken to make a conversation between the head of the BBN and his American counterpart. – Some information and contacts were taken with colleagues of security advisor (Mike Waltz – ed.). And we hope that in the coming days and how many hours there will also be telephone contact with the United States security advisor – said Łukowski.

He estimated that the US actions were “an obvious pressure mechanism for the Ukrainian side, so that she would accept peace conversations with Russia and accept the conditions that are prepared by the American administration.” – It is a very, say, strict approach to this topic. Very spectacular – he added. He admitted that “we have never dealt with this type of situation.”

– Unfortunately, the American administration at the present time uses unconventional methods to force partners to act in accordance with their expectations. And this is such a classic example. Very difficult to accept. Difficult to accept especially for us, for Poles who are solidarity with Ukraine. But at the same time I want to say so that these American decisions did not stop the support of other partners, including Poland. And this also applies to intelligence cooperation. I mean, we have no signals about the fact that we as the Polish side limit this type of cooperation with the Ukrainian side – he explained.

He also stated that without American interview, Europeans are “not blind”. – On the other hand, our abilities differ from those abilities that the US offers. There are some abilities throughout Europe, but they are incomparable to what Americans offer. And this is certain – he said. – But this does not mean that European countries do not have these abilities. Of course we have – he assured.
