The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management warns against difficult road conditions. Orange and yellow alerts against freezing precipitation are in force in several voivodeships in the southeast of the country.
Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first- and second-degree meteorological warnings on a three-level, increasing scale.
Second degree IMWM warnings – freezing precipitation
Particularly difficult conditions occur in the following voivodeships:
- Silesianin the following counties: Cieszyn, Bielsko, Bielsko-BiałaŻywiec, where the warnings will be valid until 10 a.m. on Thursday;
- Lesser Polandin the following counties: Oświęcim, Wadowice, Suski, Myślenice, Limanowski, Wieliczka, Bochnia, Brzesko, where difficult conditions will persist until 10 on Thursday, and Tarnów, TarnówNowy Sącz, Nowy SączNowy Targ, where alarms will be valid until 13 on Thursday;
- Podkarpackiein the following counties: Dębica, Ropczyce-Sędziszów, Rzeszów, RzeszówŁańcut, Leżajsk, Lubaczów, Jarosław, Przemyśl, IndustryBrzozowski, Przeworski, Strzyżowski, where warnings will be valid until 10 on Thursday and in the following counties: Jasło, Krosno, KrosnoSanok, Lesko, Bieszczady, where the dangerous aura will last until 13 on Thursday.
Light to moderate freezing rain or drizzle, causing black ice, is forecast in these regions.

Yellow alerts apply in the following voivodeships:

- Łódźin Radomsko County;
- Podkarpackieexcluding poviats covered by second-degree warnings;
- Lesser Polandin the following counties: Tatra, Krakow, CracowChrzanów, Olkusz, Miechowski, Proszowice;
- Lublin Provincein the following counties: Kraśnik, Janów, Biłgoraj, Tomaszów, Zamość, ZamośćHrubieszów.
The warnings will be valid until 8-9 on Thursday.
