Black Sabbath will play a concert in the original composition in Birmingham

The Black Sabbath team, the legend of Heavy Metal, officially ceased operations in February 2017. Last years have played in various compositions. The charismatic frontman, which was Ozzy Osbourne, left the band much earlier and continued his adventure with music as a soloist. At the beginning of 2023, however, the health of the music forced him to end artistic activity.

On July 5 at the Villa Park stadium in Birmingham Black Sabbath will play the last concert in the original composition with Ozzy Osbourn. The event was called “Back to the Beginning”. Profits from the concert will be donated for charity. The information was provided on Wednesday by the Reuters agency.

During the concert on July 5: Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony IOMMI, bass player Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward. In this composition, the team performed for the last time in 2005.

The official announcement quotes the statement of 76-year-old Ozza Osbourne: “This is my time to 'return to the beginning'. Time to get back to the place where I was born. The Black Sabbath band was formed in 1968 in Birmingham. After a few years of performances, he was recognized as an icon of hard rock music and a precursor heavy metal. In 1979 Ozzy Osbourne left the group, deciding on a solo career. In the following years, the band played in changing warehouses. Occasionally, the musicians who founded the band met and played a few concerts, among others in 1985, 1998 and 2005. The band ceased operations in 2017, having over 75 million records sold.
