Difficult weather conditions affected eight of the nine regions of Bolivia, but the most difficult situation prevails in the western, densely populated La Paz. According to local media, on Sunday, the waters of the Tipuani River flooded the city of the same name located above it. Flood waters kidnapped one of the bridges and broke into the houses. Residents in panic escaped from high waves. According to the authorities of La Paz, the flood in Tipuani affected at least 400 families.

In another part of La Paz, in the Pucarans commune, local farmers are afraid of the future. “A large part of agricultural areas was located on the banks of the river, which means that the flood caused considerable losses,” he explained in an interview with the local media Calvimontes.
