Jagiellonia Bia³ystok drew 2:2 with Raków Częstochowa in Sunday's hit of the PKP BP Ekstraklasa. In added time of the second half, Gustav Berggren behaved embarrassingly. The 27-year-old Swedish midfielder from Raków Częstochowa at one point started to destroy the point from which he was shooting penalty kick. Referee Jarosław Przybył had no mercy for the player and showed him two yellow cards for unsportsmanlike conduct. A moment later, Afimico Pululu, the hosts' striker, successfully used the penalty kick.
Zbigniew Boniek commented on Berggren's behavior. He hit the nail on the head
Berggren's behavior was met with considerable criticism. “Zero any honor or decency”, “but there should be some matches suspension.”, “It was extremely unsportsmanlike,” outraged fans wrote in the comments, wrote Sport.pl.
Now Zbigniew Boniek, former president of the Polish Football Association, spoke about the Swede's move. He didn't mince his words, but it's hard to disagree with his opinion.
– I cannot say: the village is dancing and singing, because Darek Dziekanowski will be offended, because he has the copyright to this statement. To me this is total idiocy. We also played, we were full of emotions, but I don't remember anyone digging a hole – said Zbigniew Boniek in “Prawda Futbolu”.
