On Saturday morning, a fire broke out on the roof of the Redemptorist monastery in Braniewo. Five people evacuated from the building. Junior Brigadier Grzegorz Różański, press officer of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship Commander of the State Fire Service, said that 500 square meters of the roof burned down.
– The roof partially collapsed. The fire is being extinguished, firefighters are searching the area and demolishing the burned elements. The evacuation of property that was not damaged is also ongoing, the firefighter explained.
