The police are investigating a break-in and theft at the Volunteer Fire Department in Jędrzejnik. The perpetrators, probably entering through a window, took out equipment worth almost 20 thousand złoty.

The Volunteer Fire Department in Jędrzejnik (Mazowieckie), which has been operating since 1968, reported the break-in on Facebook. The theft occurred on the night of Friday to Saturday. Among other things, the following items were stolen: a wood saw, a rescue saw, a saw for steel and concrete, a power generator, a screwdriver, an air compressor, a rectifier, a set of flat-opening wrenches, a plastic canister with fuel, and flashlights.

“The thieves managed to defeat the alarm system installed in the garage, which did not activate the alarm or send an SMS message while they were there,” the firefighters wrote, warning other units. They also asked for help: “Anyone with information about the incident and the stolen equipment is asked to help and contact us at 509764462 or 509028417” – they appealed.

The police are handling the case. The investigation, as Jacek Sobociński from the press department of the Warsaw Police Headquarters informed us, concerns a burglary. – Initial findings indicate that the perpetrators got in through a window. They stole equipment from a fire truck – said the policeman.

He reported that the losses were estimated at around 19 thousand zlotys. – The case is under investigation. The police are on the trail of the perpetrators – he assured.
