In England and Wales, a ban on breeding and selling American XL Bully dogs came into force. This is the result of numerous attacks by dogs of this breed, including fatal ones – although they are extremely rare on the Islands. From February, it will also be prohibited to own such a dog without special permission, but it will be very difficult to obtain it. Without it, it will be necessary to euthanize the animal. Owners will be able to count on compensation of £200.
