A bus disappeared from the bus depot in Bydgoszcz. The man drove the vehicle into the city and caused a collision. The police managed to stop him in Biały Błota near Bydgoszcz.
On Friday (November 15) in the evening, the police received a report of a collision involving a city bus in Zielonka near Bydgoszcz. After the collision, the vehicle continued driving. The driver was detained in Biały Błota.
As it turned out, the man left the bus depot at Inowrocławska Street in Bydgoszcz and started a “rally” around the city.
He took advantage of the staff's inattention
– He had previously entered the bus depot and, taking advantage of the inattention of the depot staff, drove away in a vehicle – confirmed Commissioner Lidia Kowalska from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz.
The 51-year-old was sober. He was charged with short-term use of the vehicle and failure to comply with the court's ruling. He will also be responsible for the collision.
