Humanoid robot: The Chinese company EngineAI presented the PM01 humanoid robot on December 24. It measures 1.38 m high, weighs 40 kg, moves at a speed of 2 m/s, and its waist rotates 320 degrees. It is equipped with Nvidia and Intel processors. Thanks to this (and two walking modes and advanced motion capture) adapts seamlessly to any environment. At least that's what the producers say.
The PM01 robot is available for global sale: It can be purchased in two variants: commercial and educational. Price in their case it is the same and is USD 12,000, i.e. approximately PLN 50,000. For now, it is only available to programmers, researchers and engineers who want to develop the robot's capabilities as part of an open source project. Meanwhile, the Optimus robots, which belong to Elon Musk, are working on them Tesla They are supposed to cost 20-30 thousand dollars.
Will China be a robotic power? Chinese robots are supposed to be distinguished primarily by their natural way of moving. The launch of PM01 is the implementation of very ambitious plans of the Chinese. The local Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has set itself a goal mass production of humanoids by 2025. EngineAI plans to sell 1,000 PM01 robots.
