Three Nigerian citizens were detained in Chorzów by Border Guard officers from Sosnowiec. As it turned out, everyone stayed in Poland illegally, referring to studies at a university who had no right to accept foreigners.
Officers of the Border Guard facility in Sosnowiec detained three Nigerians on Monday in Chorzów. During control activities, it turned out that everyone was illegally in Poland – from 3 to 1009 days.

“Foreigners did not show documents entitling them to legal stay, nor did they show the financial resources necessary to cover the costs of staying in the territory of the Republic of Poland. education process ” – told the press team of the Silesian Border Guard Department.
They have to leave Poland
Everyone received decisions obliging them to return within 30 days, at the same time prohibiting re -entry into the territory of the states Schengen zones for two years.
In 2024, officers of the Silesian branch of the SG detained 17 people who – in a similar way – tried to “legalize” their stay with studies at universities. In 2025 there were already 28 such people. Most often, students abuse their status to work full -time job without having the appropriate permission.
