A 25-year-old resident of the Ciechanów district was charged with attempted murder of his father. He was temporarily arrested.
The incident occurred on Sunday, October 20, after 1 a.m. – The police were informed that a 66-year-old resident of the Ciechanów district was probably beaten and that his head injuries could have been caused by being hit with a sharp object – said Magda Sakowska, spokeswoman for the District Police Headquarters. The 66-year-old was taken to hospital with injuries
The police went to the man's house. There they determined that the perpetrator of the beating could be the victim's 25-year-old son. However, he was not at home.
The man was found in a barn, where he was hiding from the officers in the hay. The 25-year-old was charged with attempting to murder his father. By court decision, he was temporarily arrested for three months. The suspect faces up to life imprisonment. The man has already been convicted of theft, including: with burglary.
