A fake person, money from the Ministry of Culture and the Institute of National Thought, i.e. golden deals under the previous government. The sale of the building for the institute's headquarters is also questionable – the facility was purchased from a homeless man for over PLN 20 million. Material from the “Poland and the World” magazine.
The Narutowicz Institute, which is located in a tenement house, of which there are many in Warsaw's Muranów district, is primarily concerned with implementing the policy of memory in the field of Polish history and heritage.
The shiny sign of the facility draws the attention of passers-by, but it is nothing compared to the building purchased for over PLN 20 million under the previous government and the previous authorities for the Museum of Christian National Heritage – the building was purchased from a homeless person.
– I had doubts that this building was not suitable for a museum or a scientific institute due to its location, lack of parking, and great difficulties in access – says Adam Leszczyński, director of the Institute of Political Thought. Gabriel Narutowicz.
Money for the Institute for Nationalists
Three years ago, the Ministry of Culture was under the leadership of Piotr Gliński gave the Institute of National Thought named after Roman Dmowski and Ignacy Paderewski money for the transaction – this institution was headed by a historian and former politician PIS Jan Żaryn, who in turn was to support patriotic initiatives of a national character, including those of Robert Bąkiewicz.
– It was the idea to create a certain group of people with national views around us, who would be part of the PiS camp – he says Krzysztof Bosak from the Confederation.
After losing the elections, PiS tried to save the Institute by moving it to Otwock, but ultimately it was taken over by the current government and renamed the Gabriel Narutowicz Institute.

Further audits do not help the image. According to information from 'Polityka' and 'Gazeta Wyborcza', according to the latest audit ordered by the current authorities of the Institute, the building of 2.5 thousand square meters with underground garages was purchased from the Warsaw Trading company, to which three days before the transaction the management board was added Andrzej W.
– We found him in one of the shelters in Łódź. The man was in a wheelchair. Despite being 80 years old, he looked much older, a man ruined by life – says Marcin Skóra from the auditing company EMES i Partnerzy.
Andrzej W., who played the role of the so-called “monitor”, immediately after the purchase, formally became the owner of the company, which then bought 28 kilograms of gold – but he himself did not see any gram or zloty of the PLN 11 million worth of ore obtained through the sale of real estate.
– It turns out that there are illegal activities in the background and this is another matter that we as successors have to clean up – says Bożena Żelazowska, Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
Piotr Mueller, government spokesman, was asked about the case Mateusz Morawieckistates that the most important thing is whether the property was purchased at the market price.
The former head of the Dmowski and Paderewski Institute, who supervised the purchase of the property, refused to comment or publish the telephone conversation.
