A patient who fatally attacked a doctor at the University Hospital in Krakow is a 35-year-old resident of the Jędrzejów poviat. At the time of invading the office, he was agitated and aggressive. According to the management of the clinic, the man was a patient of the deceased orthopedist and was dissatisfied with the course of treatment.

Marcin Jędrychowski, director of the hospital, confirmed that the man was a patient of the deceased doctor. – We are dealing with a patient who was dissatisfied with the course of treatment. The case was based on the Patient Ombudsman. We gave an answer. According to the opinion of the Patient Ombudsman, everything was fine. The patient made the worst possible decision consisting in clarifying the matter himself. Something that does not find a rational explanation – emphasized the director.

According to Commissioner Piotr Szpiech, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Krakow, the attacker is a 35-year-old resident of the Jędrzejów poviat.

He was agitated and aggressive

– A aggressive man invaded one of the offices during the ongoing visit. He was stimulated, he blamed the doctor for something. At one point he took out a sharp tool that the doctor attacked. The 35-year-old was detained. We perform activities with him – the policeman told.

He added that when police arrived, the 35-year-old calmed down and followed their instructions.

The attacker was not previously known to the police. As Commissioner Piotr Szpiech pointed out, he came to the hospital alone.
