A sentence was passed in the case of Magdalena L. (in the past Magdalena K.), accused of managing the Gang of Cracovia hooligans. She was one of the most wanted women in Europe, she was issued, among others, a European arrest warrant and a red interpol's note.

In the District Court in Krakow on the bench, in addition to L., her partner Mariusz Z., as well as 10 members of the Cracovia hooligan gang, sat on the bench.

L. was found guilty, she was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and a fine. The court unusually softened the sentence. The accused did not appear at the trial.

Magdalena L. was responsible, among others, for managing an organized criminal group, which included hooligans of the Cracovia sports club. The prosecutor also accused L. of drug smuggling and trade, hindering criminal proceedings, giving false testimonies and urging other people to do so, and money laundering.

The openness of the trial – in addition to the announcement of the sentence – was turned off. A spokeswoman for the Krakow court explained this decision “the interest of a private individual, i.e. victims” and “reasons for the nature of state interests”. She noted that this is “the interest in justice, i.e. the efficient conduct of criminal proceedings”.

The main accused in this case, Magdalena L., was sought after by the European arrest warrant and the red note of Interpol. L. twice attempted to obtain an iron letter at the District Court in Krakow, which would allow her to answer from a free foot until a final judgment.

In the course of the investigation, Magdalena L. pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor's office stated that the criminal group led by Magdalena L. was composed of members of the Cracovia club members. According to the findings of the investigation, L. was to manage a group of several dozen, which traded, among others marijuana and cocaine. “The group also committed deeds against life and health, often using dangerous tools, such as knives and machetes. In this way they attacked the hooligans of one of the Krakow and Łódź football clubs. Their activities were characterized by a high degree of organization and subordination of service” – said PK.
