The director's first girlfriend was the painter Peggy Lynch, with whom he married in 1967. The couple had a daughter, Jennifer Lynch. Unfortunately, the seven-year relationship did not stand the test of time and the spouses decided to divorce. Lynch's second wife was Mary Fisk, with whom he had a son, Austin Jack Lynch. The couple met in the courtroom eight years after their wedding. It was said in the media that the relationship broke down due to the infidelity of the director, who had an affair with the actress Isabella Rossellini. Lynch's third love is director Mary Sweeney. At first, she was an editing assistant on “Blue Velvet”. The marriage of these two lasted only a year. They had a son, Riley Lynch. Despite common passions they could not reach an agreement. Lynch's last girlfriend was Emily Stofle, with whom he married in 2009. The fruit of the union is Lula. This relationship also broke up after 14 years – in 2023, Stofle filed for divorce, in which she complained that her husband was neglecting the care of her daughter. – When I gave birth to Lula, he disappeared at his job.
