Deputy Minister of Digitization Paweł Olszewski (Civic Coalition) said on “Yes it” on TVN24 that Cyberratacs in Poland “intensify from year to year”. – From the beginning of the year there were 500 attacks on public administration, and in the last seven days there were 700 attacks on other units – he said. He added that according to the estimates of his ministry, the scale of these attacks will soon “get worse”.
Deputy Minister of Digitization Paweł Olszewski was asked in “Yes it” on TVN24, or he can guarantee that no one from abroad will have an impact on the presidential election in Poland.
– When it comes to technical matters, I am absolutely able to guarantee it. When it comes to attempts to disinfect the Polish society, throwing fake news, hostile narratives, unfortunately it will happen – he replied. He added that his ministry has long been analyzing cases of disinformation appearing in the media space.

As he continued, the cases of attacks “intensify from year to year”.

– Last year we recorded over 110 (thousands – ed.) Serious incidents. In 2023 it was about 80,000, so you can see that this growth is. From the beginning of the year, there have been 500 attacks on public administration, and in a total of 700 attacks on other units. We anticipate that the scale of these attacks related to disinformation attempts will increase – he added.
As Olszewski continued, the fight with such attacks is mainly done through preventive measures.
– Hence, as part of the election umbrella, we will be both as a ministry and NASK (scientific and academic computer network – the State Research Institute – ed.), And the Internal Security Agency trained representatives of individual election committees, representatives of the election committees, PKWbut also journalists to be able to send information that is true and which are disinformation – announced the deputy minister.
