So far, we have become accustomed to living in a liberal world where international law is respected, now that time is ending – said former Minister of Foreign Affairs in the PiS government, Jacek Czaputowicz, in “Fakty po Faktach”, answering the question what will change after the inauguration of the presidency Donald Trump in the USA. The former foreign minister added that Trump “comes in a much worse situation” than when he finished his previous term in 2020.
The swearing-in will take place on Monday, January 20 Donald Trump on President of the United States America. In my opinion Jacek Czaputowicz the president-elect's victory in the elections itself changed the situation in the world. He gave examples of the change of government in Germany, Canada or recent agreement Israel with Hamas.
Trump 'must accept the rules of the game'
– By now, we have become accustomed to living in a liberal world where international law is respected. Now that time is running out, I think – said the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, referring to what changes he believes will take place after the inauguration of Donald Trump.
He estimated that the future president USA “He comes in a much worse situation than when he left his position four years ago.” – He also has to adopt the rules of the game that have been developed here in the meantime and this poses a big challenge – he added.

Czaputowicz: Trump wants to rely on force
– The world looks like this that force is again the main argument and in order to face (…) these opponents who are very strong, Donald Trump also wants to rely more on force – said Czaputowicz. He also noted that after the agreement between Israel and Hamas, Trump “will also want to introduce some kind of peace in Ukraine.”
However, the former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assessed that for Americans and Republicans “Ukraine is not a primary issue” and that “they would rather give responsibility for it to Europeans.”
He also noted that the Americans may “press more strongly on Russia to ensure there is some kind of agreement, a demarcation line,” and the Europeans, in line with this strategy, “should keep an eye on it with their troops.”
