Donald Tusk on the “deadly important question”. He attacks Karol Nawrocki

Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the presence of PiS candidate for president, Karol Nawrocki, at the farmers' protest, where anti-EU slogans appeared. “The question is simple and deadly serious: do you want a president who will build a safe and strong Europe, or one who, together with Putin and his allies, will destroy it?” – he wrote.

On Friday, a farmers' protest took place in the center of Warsaw. A delegation of farmers was admitted to the European Commission delegation. The participants ended the protest in front of the National Theater, where a gala to celebrate the occasion was held in the evening the beginning of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The Warsaw City Hall reported that, according to estimates, about 1,500 people took part in the protest. The protest took place under the slogan “5 x stop” – farmers demonstrated their opposition to the agreement European Union – Mercosur, Green Deal, imports from Ukraine“destruction of Polish forests and hunting” and “extinction of the Polish economy”.

During the demonstration, farmers carried banners with the inscriptions: “Down with the green order with a criminal agreement for Poland” and “Polexit”. The candidate, among others, appeared at the protest PIS for president Karol Nawrocki. – Today, here is the place of every candidate for the office of the President of the Republic of Poland who thinks in Polish – said Nawrocki.

Tusk on the “deadly serious” question

“When, together with President Trzaskowski and Marshal Hołownia, we opened the Polish presidency (of the EU Council – ed.), K. Nawrocki demonstrated with a group of activists under the slogan Polexit,” wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Saturday morning on Platform X.

“The question is simple and deadly serious: do you want a president who will build a safe and strong Europe, or one who, together with Putin and his allies, will destroy it?” – he added in the entry.

On Friday, the gala inaugurating the Polish Presidency of the EU Council took place at the Grand Theater – National Opera in Warsaw. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the highest state authorities, including the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, and Prime Minister Donald Tusk. – If Europe is powerless, it will not survive – emphasized the Prime Minister. The president did not appear at the gala Andrzej Dudawho was represented by one of his advisors.
