I can't imagine people without a license driving on the roads. We need to help companies and we will solve this problem – said Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization, in the “One on One” program on TVN24. He announced that the process of checking driver qualifications will be automated.
Gawkowski was asked whether it will be possible to check whether a given person has the right to drive vehicles in a special register.
“They must be punished and prosecuted”
– There will be an automated process. (..) Criminals driving without a driving license, sometimes causing death, must be punished and prosecuted. Entrepreneurs must have the right to do so (to check such a person – editor) – he said.
He pointed out that an entrepreneur can already check this in some way, but the process is to be automated. – Thanks to the automatic plug-in, we will automate this process, entrepreneurs (…) will be able to check every morning whether someone has authorizations or not – he said.
Gawkowski: we will solve this problem
– We will send it and share it. It will be a special formula for this automated process, he said.
– I can't imagine people without licenses driving on the roads. We need to help companies, we will help, we will solve this problem. It will be ready in January, he declared.
The changes introduced are to be the ministry's response to the accident that occurred on Friday in Warsaw's Wola district. A courier driver fatally hit a 14-year-old boy there and fled. The man was banned from driving by the court.
