Left MEP Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus emphasized that “there is no tolerance for such behavior.”
On Thursday in the Sejm former Minister of Justice, PiS MP Zbigniew Ziobrotaking the floor during consideration of the application for a temporary detention against him, he said that “Donald Tusk would go to sit”. At the moment when the former minister spoke these words, you could hear a shout in the plenary hall: “Ball in the head”. PiS MP Edward Siarka was the screaming. The parliamentarian later apologized for his words.
On Friday after notifications Adam Bodnar and Krzysztof Brejzy, the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw implemented a checking procedure in this case. Speaker of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia he reported in the afternoon that Siarka was punished with a maximum penalty of PLN 20,000. Gasiuk-Pihowicz: The problem is much more serious
The behavior of Siarka's MP was commented on in “Facts after Facts” on TVN24 MEP Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz and Left MEP Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus. – MP Siarka will answer, I hope for a crime he committed in the light of cameras – said Gasiuk -Pihowicz.
– However, the problem is much more serious, because we see more PiS politicians and confederations who simply sow hatred, who arouse very bad emotions, who arouse divisions – she assessed.
According to Gasiuk-Pihowicz, such a man “should be excluded from public life after such a performance.”
– I hope this madness will end quickly. I hope it ends in May. We really need an agreement between the palace – government, we don't need a man there who will speak exactly the same voice as those people we talked about, calling for hatred in these such difficult times for Poland – she said.
Scheuring-Wielgus: This is very dangerous
– What do you have to have in your head, what do you need to think to say such words at all? – MEP Scheuring-Wielgus asked.
She noticed that “this is not the first situation when we hear such a language in the Polish parliament.”
She emphasized that “it doesn't matter where we say such words, because everything starts with a word.” “There are words first, and then there is an act,” she added. “It's all very dangerous,” she said.
Scheuring-Wielgus pointed out that “there is no tolerance for such behavior.”
