The last Fame MMA event was met with enormous controversy. The scandal occurred right after the end of the duel between Denis Załęcki and Adrian Cios and Natan Marcoń. Ten was first disqualified for an illegal kick to the head, and later, during the confusion, one of Załęcki's coaches attacked his rival with his fists.

Will Fame MMA unleash another storm? Popular industry portal banned

However, the next gala organized by Fame MMA is fast approaching. The 23rd edition of the event will take place on Saturday, December 7 at the Atlas Arena in Łódź. We already know that on that day in the cage we will see, among others: Lexa Chaplin, Amadeusz “Ferrari” Roślik or Kamil “Taazy” Mataczyński. As it turns out, there will be no journalists from one of the industry portals during the gala.

“FAME is blackmailing the editorial office of MMA.pl. Accreditation withdrawn for unflattering articles about the organization” – reads the title of the text on the website mma.pl. The editorial team's journalists cannot appear at the Tuesday press conference before the Fame 23 event. The reason? “Numerous publications on the website that have recently negatively presented FAME's activities,” we read. It was added that the federation authorities accept various forms of constructive criticism and understand the creative nature of media activities, but some of the articles were unreliable and reproduced false information.

Finally, it was mentioned that the restriction is one-time. “We hope that during subsequent events, including the second conference and the event itself in Łódź, we will meet with your editorial team again,” it said, publishing a list of articles that “baselessly attack the federation.”

The head of MMA.pl thunders about Fame MMA's exclusion. “He's trying to manipulate the media”

Dominik Woźniak has now commented on the matter. “From the perspective of the owner of the MMA.pl portal, this is scandalous behavior by FAME MMA, which is trying to manipulate the media. This is intended to force the media to write only positive articles about the organization. (…) There have been cases in the past where the Fame federation “she did not allow our individual editors to attend her press events, but as she later admitted, it was a mistake on their part,” he explained to Sport.pl.

Fame MMA has been having a lot of problems lately. Not only are the events allegedly arousing less and less interest, but the Polish government has started to take a closer look at the organization. The Minister of Sport, Slawomir Nitras, has already made the first decisions and blocked Fame's next ventures at the National Stadium in Warsaw.
