Fat Thursday this week. Donuts and confectioners outdo each other in inventing more and more attractive baking. Dubai donuts become a real hit of recent days. They differ primarily in the classical filling. How does it taste like? How much do you have to pay for Dubai donuts? We explain.
Dubai donuts are currently a network hit. Internet creators are outdoing each other in developing their next versions and reviewing their sweets available in confectioneries. What distinguishes Dubai donuts from classic is primarily filling. It arises from a combination of pistachio paste, katifi cake and optionally other ingredients and is inspired by the taste of Dubai chocolate.
First there was Dubai chocolate
This one ago was invented by Sarah Hamuda, the founder of the Fix Dessert Chocolatier Sweet Sweet Laboratory in Dubai. The 38-year-old told in an interview with CNN that she came up with the idea of her most famous product when an unusual cloud came during her. The Hamuda then combined classic, milky chocolate with a filling based on pistachio cream, tahini paste and crunchy kataifi cake.
After one of the foreign influencers recorded a video in which he eats the work of Hamoudy, chocolate began to enjoy dizzying popularity on the web. Subsequent creators posted their reviews in social media and divided the regulations into home versions of the delicacy. Soon other sweets inspired by it began to arise. Currently, you can meet Dubai Croissants, waffles, muffins, cheesecakes and donuts.

The latter are currently available both in small dags or confectioneries, as well as popular discount stores. Depending on the place of sale, their prices range from a few to even twenty zlotys. You do not have to pay the most in craft premises. The owners of these justify the high prices of sweets, including with high prices of ingredients, in particular with pistachio prices.

The quality of the sweets offered in them differs from the one offered by confectioneries and donuts, but according to online reviewers it is satisfactory. Donuts with classic fillings, such as rose marmalade or plum jam, in the top supermarkets you will be able to buy on Thursday for less than a zloty.
Fat Thursday 2025
Fat Thursday is traditionally celebrated last Thursday before Lent, i.e. 52 days before Easter. A popular superstition says that whoever does not eat a single donut on this day will not be lucky.
This tradition exists not only in Poland. Germany They celebrate like us – on Thursday. In Great Britain, USA, France and Australia Baking is eaten on Tuesday, the last day of the carnival before Ash Wednesday. The Scandinavian equivalent of Fat Thursday is celebrated last Sunday before Lent. In turn, east of the Polish border, remnants are celebrated all week.
